BOO Pure Care Lash & Brow Lift Pack — a free-base cysteamine system.

Pure Care is built on free-base cysteamine: cysteamine in its pure form, rather than the cysteamine HCl (hydrochloride salt) used in many other lifting systems. It is scientifically proven to have the lowest cytotoxicity, meaning the mildest raw perming chemicals, as shown in the pharmaceutical report included in the product images.

Because it's so gentle on the hair, it's safe to apply right to the tips of the lashes.

Please read carefully: free-base cysteamine describes the form of cysteamine used in this product. It is a cysteamine-based formula and is not free from cysteamine. It is a different compound from Cysteamine HCl.

Why this system is gentler on lashes

Chemical interaction. Cysteamine interacts with the disulfide bonds within the hair structure, including lashes. Unlike some other chemicals used in lash lifting, cysteamine has a milder action on these bonds, breaking them in a controlled and gentle manner without causing excessive stress to the hair shaft.

Mild reducing agent. Cysteamine is a mild reducing agent with a lower pH, less aggressive than common alternatives such as ammonium thioglycolate. This mildness lets it reshape the lashes without excessive damage or weakening.

Less risk of overprocessing. Overprocessing happens when disulfide bonds break down too extensively, leaving lashes overly curled or weakened. Cysteamine's controlled action reduces that risk, giving a more natural lift without compromising lash health.

Minimal swelling. Some chemicals cause the hair shaft to swell during lifting. Cysteamine-based products generally cause less swelling, so lashes keep their natural strength and flexibility.

Preservation of lash integrity. The gentler action allows bonds to reform in a way that supports the lash's original structure while still achieving the lift.

Nourishing properties. Some cysteamine-based products are formulated with nourishing ingredients that support lash health during and after the lift, providing hydration and conditioning.

Suits sensitive clients. Cysteamine-based products are often favoured for clients with sensitive skin or eyes due to their reduced potential for irritation.
